A year is over; I made it

I am tempted to start with the cliché – it seems like only yesterday that … – but I will not for the sake of avoiding ad nauseam. Still the reality is that an academic year has now passed and I am actually one year closer to whatever awaits at the finish line. Now that the year is finally over, I’m now enjoying a vacation in California before I return to Philadelphia, hopefully to work in a lab over the summer.
